Bosch's CDR software version 10.0 was released recently with a substantial expansion of vehicle coverage. The list of manufacturers has grown to now include: Honda/Acura/Sterling, BMW/Rolls Royce, Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Mitsubishi/Fiat/Lancia, Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Volvo, General Motors/Chevrolet/Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac/Cadillac/GMC/Geo/Saturn/Hummer/Holden/Opel/Isuzu/Saab, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Mazda, Suzuki. (There are more to come also)
If you have an accident you are investigating involving any of the above brands of vehicles, feel free to call and ask if your particular year and model are able to be downloaded. (805) 693-0404
The information currently available through the CDR download is different for each manufacturer and year of vehicle. This information will be "standardized" over the next few years as new Federal Regulations come into play. Eventually, all vehicles sold in the United States will be required to have EDRs installed and accessible to the CDR type devices. The information itself, in most United States jurisdictions, will still belong to the vehicle owner and will require authorization before the data can be downloaded.
