Electronic Stability Control

Electronic Stability Control

Prototype Electronic Stability Control units started appearing in the early 1990's. The concept had been around for almost twenty years before that. As new computer controlled systems became more feasible Bosch and others started to pitch them to the automotive industry. 2002 was the year that ESC started to become significantly available, not to say that it couldn't have been made available sooner. Now that ESC is out there we are starting to see some issues that raise questions as to their real value.
